OUTLIERS EXTEND NEW WIN STREAK TO 5 GAMES

The Utah Outliers extended their new winning streak to 5 games, sweeping the Bellingham Blaze. Game 1 saw the Outliers double up Bellingham by a 6-3 margin. Viktor Tiutchenko’s 4 goals and 1 assist lead the way for Utah. Saturday night Alex Puurunen, Dylan Massie, Jake Hagstrom and Bogdan Khvatov’s scored second period goals as the Outliers outlasted the Blaze for a 4-3 win. In the Sunday matinee, 6 different goal scorers powered Utah to a 9-3 win. Wyatt Sloan earned his first win in goal this season stopping 14 shots.

This weekend Utah faces the defending Thorne Cup Champions in the Idaho Jr. Steelheads. Idaho currently leads the Northwest Division with a 29-2-3 record. The high scoring Steelheads boasts 9 players with 10 goals or more.

The three game series is set to begin Friday at 7 PM. Saturday’s game begins at 6:30 PM and the Sunday Matinee starts at Noon. All games are at the Accord Ice Arena 5353 W 3100 S in West Valley City.
