OUTLIERS BATTLE THE BLAZE TO BEGIN 6 GAME HOME STAND

West Valley City, UT, Jan. 27, 2017

The Utah Outliers 11 game win streak came to an end on Friday night at the hands of the Superior Roughriders by a 6-3 margin. The Outliers would rebound quickly winning game two (6-1) and game three  (7-3). Viktor Tiutchenko led the team in scoring with 6 goals and 4 assists in the three games while Marcus Rudhage was the goalie of record in the two wins. The Outliers now hold a record of 20 wins 14 losses and 3 OTL, good for third place in the Mountain Division.

This weekend, Utah sets their sights on a three game series with the Bellingham Blaze, who are coming off three losses to the Southern Oregon Spartans. The Blaze currently sit with a record of 10 wins 26 losses and 1 tie, putting them in 6th place in the Northwest Division.

This out of division battle between the Outliers and the Blaze will be the first meeting in either team’s history.  With both teams trying to improve their playoff position, these games should be filled with intensity and excitement. Game times are as follows: Friday at 7 PM, Saturday at 6:30 PM and a Sunday matinee at 12 Noon. All games are at the Accord Ice Arena located at 5353 3100 S. in West Valley City.
